Vaccine-Weapon-Against-Epidemic
Vaccine weapon against pandemic:US President said - With the partnership of QUAD, 100 crore doses will be made in India by next year
US President Joe Biden has said in the Global Summit on Corona that with the partnership of QUAD (USA, India, Australia, Japan), we are on the way to make 100 million vaccine doses in India by 2022. With this the vaccine will be supplied worldwide. He stressed that at the present time nothing is more important than defeating Corona.
Biden said that we are working with partner countries, pharma companies and other manufacturers to increase their capabilities to make safe and effective vaccines, QUAD is an example. Along with helping to increase vaccine manufacturing in South Africa, financial assistance is also being given. At the same time, work is also going on to prepare 500 million doses of Johnson & Johnson's vaccine for Africa by next year.
Biden announced that America is buying 500 million doses of Pfizer's vaccine to donate the vaccine to the poor and middle-income countries of the world. These will be shipped to different countries by next year. In this way we will fulfill our promise to donate 1.1 billion vaccines. The US has so far given 160 million vaccine doses to 100 countries.
Modi said- The crisis of Corona is not over yet
Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the Global Kovid Summit said that when India was facing trouble in the second wave of Corona, the world helped us at that time. The corona epidemic is a sudden disaster and is not over yet. Also said that the world should make vaccine certificates easy. Care should also be taken that there is no interruption in the supply of raw materials for the vaccine. Vaccination is yet to be completed in most parts of the world. Therefore, the initiative of US President Biden to double the vaccine donation is commendable.
QUAD countries have built a vaccine supply chain
To deal with the corona epidemic in the Indo-Pacific region, the QUAD countries (India, America, Japan and Australia) took the initiative to build a vaccine supply chain in March this year. Under this, the vaccine formula will be developed in America, manufacturing will take place in India, Japan-US will provide financial assistance and Australia will provide logistic support in vaccine supply. This agreement of QUAD is also being seen as a challenge to China's dominance in the Indo-Pacific.
